This game features the fastest-paced team in the league (the Dallas Wings) against the slowest-paced team in the league (the Connecticut Sun).
That said both teams rank in the top-four in the league in offensive rating. They also both lead the league in shot attempts inside of five feet, and are top-four in field goals allowed inside of five feet.
So, we’re going to see a lot of high percentage shots inside and a lot of free throws in this matchup.
I’m projecting this total closer to 165, which is right around where the it opened. I think it’s been bet down maybe as an overreaction to the Mercury-Sun game the other day that finished at 117. That was just the product of a historically bad shooting performance by an injury-plagued Mercury team.
The Wings should fare much better against a tough Suns defense. Sevgi Uzun and Maddy Siegrist have been stepping up for the Wings offensively the past couple of games and I think those two will help get this game over 160.
Pick: Over 160 (-112)
