Not much needs to be said about the Liberty. New York is a perfect 8-0 on the season, has already beaten Chicago by 25 and is seemingly clicking on all cylinders.
Sure, there are always things to clean up, but things are certainly going well for New York at the moment.
On the other hand, Chicago is coming off a 27-point loss against the Caitlin Clark-less Fever. The Sky have won two of their past three, but that loss likely left a sour taste in their mouth. Additionally, Courtney Vandersloot tore her ACL and will be out for the rest of the season, a big loss for Chicago.
The loss of Vandersloot hurts, but the motivation to get back on track should be there and we’re not asking Chicago to win — but rather to simply keep this relatively close.
