Djokovic vs Sinner Preview, Prediction

Novak Djokovic Betting Preview

In the quarterfinals against Zverev, Djokovic didn’t look like a 38-year-old tennis player who pulled out of Rome a few weeks ago because of a clay-court funk.

Instead, he looked like the Djokovic we all know and love, using his fitness and mental toughness to keep Zverev off balance and his lethal groundstrokes and drop-shot change ups to bury the German in four sets.

Beyond getting broken in the first game of the match, Djokovic was sharp — as he has been for much of this French Open — and the far better player, despite Zverev being ranked higher.

Unsurprisingly, Zverev became predictable and lost his cool, which is something you won’t see from Djokovic.

However, if Djokovic is going to have a chance at winning Grand Slam No. 25, he’s going to have to raise his game to an even higher level.

Jannik Sinner Betting Preview

Sinner isn’t just winning — he’s pummeling opponents.

Since returning from his suspension, the Italian is 17-1, with the lone loss coming to Carlos Alcaraz in the final of Rome. He hasn’t dropped a set in this tournament, and he’s dropped just four sets total (!) in his last 19 Grand Slam matches dating back to the 2024 US Open.

More impressively, he’s covered this -5.5 spread in all 19 of those matches, meaning none have been particularly close.

And that’s pretty much all you need to know about Sinner right now.

Djokovic vs Sinner Predictions, Betting Analysis

Djokovic should never be counted out at a Grand Slam, regardless of his age. Some will say that the quarterfinal matchup against Zverev proved that he’s still in a class with the best players in the world, but Djokovic, one of the greatest of all-time, doesn’t need to prove a thing.

Thus, this play isn’t a knock on Djokovic, who I believe has a real chance to win Wimbledon in a few weeks.

It’s more about how good Sinner has been and currently is. Covering this spread in 19 straight Grand Slam matches is impressive work, and I expect that to continue here.

Sinner isn’t going to become predictable like Zverev and he won’t fold like Zverev. Plus, the Italian can overpower Djokovic with his ground strokes from the baseline.

Pick: Sinner -5.5
