Aryna Sabalenka Caps First-Ever US Open Victory

Aryna Sabalenka has broken through for the first time at the US Open.

In her third-straight finals appearance in New York, she was able to get the job done with a victory over American Jessica Pegula in straight sets (7-5 7-5).

Sabalenka was the -334 favorite at Bet365 to win the match over Pegula who was +250 on the money line.

Sabalenka opened at +1000 to win the US Open at BetMGM. She was bet down to +450 by the start of the tournament.

Pegula and Sabalenka were in a battle in the first set when Sabalenka ended up pulling it out 7-5.

Pegula fought back again in the second set after going down 3-0. Pegula brought it back before losing to Sabalenka 7-5.

Pegula had an admirable run to her first-ever Grand Slam final. She entered the tournament as the No. 6 seed and opened at +2000 to win the US Open.

Sabalenka has now won three Grand Slams and cemented herself as one of the top women’s players in tennis.
