NFL TD Predictions for Sunday Week 9

The premise is simple.

PRO Projections recommend bettors take edges that are 3.5% or better, if tailing projections and only projections on a pick. All edges are listed next to the props. We package up the strongest picks and release plays Saturday.

As I scan NFL touchdown picks from our NFL Props models, five picks are above the suggested grade.

Sunday’s NFL Week 9 touchdown predictions feature payouts of +650, +1200 and +2100.

NFL Touchdown Prediction No. 1 for Sunday

The largest touchdown edge of NFL Sunday Week 9 from our prop models capitalizes on injuries, and takes advantage of a very poor secondary.

Last week, the Seattle Seahawks offense was in shambles. In Week 9, the unit is down Noah Fant and DK Metcalf.

The biggest edge for Sunday of NFL Week 9 is likely a player you wouldn’t think of, but our projections are extremely bullish on Seahawks second-year wide receiver Jake Bobo.

Tyler Lockett is a shell of what he used to be and Seattle’s offense lacks receiver depth. Bobo is a bigger receiver who’s a threat in the red zone, and our projections powered by experts like Sean Koerner, Nick Giffen and the Action Analytics Teams highlight Bobo as a strong pick.

Bobo’s odds to score a touchdown are a market-best +450. Using our betting odds calculator, +450 implies an 18% probability.

However, Action TD models predict Bobo to score 0.30 time – a fair price more like +233. Betting Bobo at +450 to score anytime is a solid play for Rams vs. Seahawks.

PRO Projections Pick: Jake Bobo Touchdown (+450)

NFL Touchdown Prediction No. 2 for Sunday

Next up is Patriots vs. Titans.

Tennessee’s offense has a little more juice with Mason Rudolph at the helm. Therefore, a player undervalued by our projections is Titans tight end Chig Okonkwo.

He’s +650 for a touchdown, implying about a 13% chance to score.

Our prediction is Okonkwo scores about 22% of the time.

The best odds at the time of writing are at DraftKings.

PRO Projections Pick: Chig Okonkwo Touchdown (+650)

NFL Touchdown Prediction No. 3 for Sunday

The Action Analytics Team is crushing long shot bets.

One touchdown prediction bettors may want to focus on at longer odds Sunday is Panthers tight end Ja’Tavion Sanders in Saints vs. Panthers.

Carolina wide receiver Diontae Johnson was traded earlier this week. Fellow receivers Adam Thielen and rookie Xavier Legette are both banged up, as well as tight end Tommy Tremble.

Sanders is +1200 to score a touchdown in Week 9. The rookie’s price implies a 7.7% to score, but our NFL experts are much higher, at 14%

PRO Projections Pick: Ja’Tavion Sanders Touchdown (+1200)

NFL Touchdown Prediction No. 4 for Sunday

The first of two touchdown picks for Raiders vs. Bengals is Las Vegas running back Alexander Mattison. He’s plus-money to reach the end zone, with best odds of +162 at bet365.

PRO Projections forecast (56% touchdown prediction) suggests Mattison’s fair price should be about -127!

PRO Projections Pick: Alexander Mattison Touchdown (+162)

NFL Touchdown Prediction No. 5 for Sunday

The second TD pick for Sunday’s Raiders vs. Bengals game is also the largest payout of our Week 9 touchdown best bets: Bengals tight end Tanner Hudson, at +2100.

Hudson’s odds to score reflect about a 4.5% probability, but our projections double that to 9%.

PRO Projections Pick: Tanner Hudson Touchdown (+2100)
