Sharp Money Continuing to Flow on Seahawks-Cowboys Wild Card Game

It’s déjà vu all over again. On Monday, I detailed how sharp action was already moving the over/under for Saturday’s Seattle Seahawks-Dallas Cowboys wild-card game.

While the rest of the sports world spent Tuesday focused on — and betting — the loaded New Year’s Day college football bowl slate, professionals once again hit Seahawks-Cowboys, but this time turned their attention to the point spread.

On Sunday night, Dallas opened as a 2.5-point home favorite against Seattle. After bouncing between 2.5 and 3, the line settled back in at 2.5 on Monday morning.

It sat there for around 24 hours, before sharp bettors chimed in.

They bet Seattle on Tuesday morning, driving the line to the current number of Cowboys -1.

While betting activity is relatively balanced with Dallas garnering 54% of both tickets and dollars wagered on the spread, Sports Insights’ Bet Signals confirm that professional action is responsible for the line move.

At 10:19 a.m. Tuesday, a Steam Move was triggered on Seahawks +2.5, signaling a flood of Seattle money across the market that forced oddsmakers at multiple sportsbooks to move the betting line.
