NFL Spread Predictions: Browns vs. Texans, Dolphins vs. Chiefs (Saturday, January 13)

I’m traveling on Saturday. I know, sick brag bro.

The point here isn’t to talk about the fun of travel, but how the hustle and bustle of getting out the door and to the airport, checking in, through security, on and off your flight, grabbing your bags, finding a ride and to your hotel stands in the way of what everyone reading this article is looking to do: make the smartest NFL spread predictions possible.

This is exactly why I’m turning to the Action Network’s PRO betting tools for Saturday’s wild-card games to not only find the best possible NFL predictions, but also to do it quickly.

Interestingly enough, despite only two games on the NFL odds board for Saturday, they’re both showing as savvy spread betting opportunities, including a “I had to check twice to make sure it was correct” shockingly-large betting model edge for Dolphins vs. Browns.

So if you like playoff football and NFL spread predictions with value, then the analysis below is for you.

NFL Spread Predictions

*NFL odds as of Saturday afternoon

Browns vs. Texans Spread Prediction

4:30 p.m. ET | NBC

An NFL playoff matchup between Joe Flacco and CJ Stroud … just as we all predicted prior to the start of the season.

Perhaps even more mind-blowing is not that Flacco is the starting quarterback in a playoff game in the year 2024, but that 63% of spread tickets are laying the points with his Browns as well.

I get it, Flacco has been a great story this season, but when it comes to value, it’s the rookie quarterback in Houston who appears to be providing it.

Sharp bettors have already kicked this spread from Texans +3 down to a consensus of +2, though FanDuel is still offering Houston at +2.5 (-115) as of the time of writing.

PRO Report Prediction: Texans +2.5 (-105 via FanDuel)

Dolphins vs. Chiefs Spread Prediction

8 p.m. ET | Peacock

The Miami Dolphins playing in cold weather narrative has been very prominent this week and may have driven this spread to a no-brainer value bet for those willing to buy it back.

Our NFL betting model projects the Dolphins at +2.8 against the Chiefs on Saturday night. Considering the importance of +3 and +4 in football betting, this results in an eye-popping 6.4% edge for Miami at the widely available +4.5.

PRO Report Prediction: Dolphins +4.5 (-105)
