Minnesota Vikings First Half Spread
- The Line: -2.5
- The Score: 14-14 tie
- Time Left: 5:00 in 2Q
The Packers opened up Sunday Night Football leading 7-0 and again 14-7, but after the Vikings tied up the game with 11 minutes left in the half, Minnesota first half backers were feeling giddy with a ton of time left.
With 4:40 left in the half, Dan Bailey missed a 48-yard field goal that would have given the Vikings the first half cover.
Then, with seconds left in the half, Bailey drilled a 51-yard field goal to seal the cover… but a false start penalty moved the ball back five yards, negating the made field goal.
You know what happened next: Bailey missed from 56 and Packers first half tickets cashed at the window, closing a tough end to the first half in Minneapolis for the Vikes. — Evan Abrams
Arizona Cardinals First-Half Spread
- The Line: +7.5
- The Score: 10-0 Cardinals
- Time Left: Start of 2Q
The first three drives of the Cardinals-Chargers game went like this:
- Cardinals score a touchdown on their opening drive
- Chargers’ three-and-out, featuring Philip Rivers getting sacked
- Cardinals’ field goal on an eight-play drive into the Chargers’ red zone
Needless to say: Anyone with a Cardinals’ first-half ticket got up to get more leftovers.
The Chargers answered back to make it 10-7. They did gift the Cardinals an extra possession by fumbling on the next drive, but the Cardinals missed a field goal to cap that drive, which led to a Chargers touchdown. Then Josh Rosen threw an interception that led to another L.A. score.
The Chargers even had time to tack on another touchdown, entering the half with a 28-10 lead after trailing 10-0. — Abrams
