I expect Pollard to have a big game in his debut as the Cowboys’ full-time RB1, but I expect it to come on the ground. It’ll be a tough spot for him as a pass-catcher against the Giants.
New York uses man coverage at the highest rate in the NFL this season. Pollard had a 1.4 yards per route run rate against zone last season compared to 0.3 against man.
With the Cowboys offensive line banged up, also, Pollard might be asked to stay in and block a bit more.
I’m projecting Pollard’s median closer to 17.5.
