Browns vs. Ravens Player Props: Lamar Jackson, Derrick Henry, Jerry Jeudy

The first of two AFC North matchups on Saturday sees the Ravens host the Browns. Baltimore needs a win over its rival in order to clinch the AFC North and earn home-field advantage in the first round of the NFL playoffs.

Let’s get into my four Browns vs. Ravens props for Saturday.

Browns vs. Ravens Player Props

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Jerry Jeudy Over 53.5 Receiving Yards (-117)” subtext=”” center=”false” logo1url=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nfl/100/cle.png” link1=”” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/256064_caesars_800x200.png” trailinglink=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/online-sports-betting/reviews/caesars-sportsbook” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]

Bailey Zappe is reportedly getting the start at quarterback for the Browns. Had it been Jameis Winston, Jerry Jeudy’s receiving yards total would be an auto smash, but even with the former Patriot starting, it’s still a wager to consider.

Jeudy exploded following Amari Cooper’s trade to the Bills, and despite struggling in Week 16, he managed 94 yards last week with DTR under center. Jeudy got a staggering 18 targets, catching 12 of them.

Zappe isn’t a good quarterback, but with the game script likely to see the Browns trailing, we could see a lot of volume for Jeudy.

Don’t forget that only two teams have given up more passing yards per game than the Ravens.

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Derrick Henry Over 89.5 Rushing Yards (-113)” subtext=”” center=”false” logo1url=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nfl/100/bal.png” link1=”” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/122955_FanDuelSportsBook@1x.jpg” trailinglink=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/online-sports-betting/reviews/fanduel” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]

At this point, the cliches about Derrick Henry coming to life in the winter and the playoffs are tiring.

However, in the past two weeks, we’ve really seen the Ravens lean on Henry with a staggering 51 carries in just two games. A big workload is something that Henry has always handled with ease, and if he’s getting 20+ carries, then you’d have to think he could cover 89.5 rushing yards, especially given that he’s averaged 5.8 yards per carry this season.

The probable game script also backs the idea of taking the over. The Ravens are 20+ point favorites, and if they get a strong lead, it’s very likely we will see them use the ground game to run the clock.

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Lamar Jackson Under 44.5 Rushing Yards (-110)” subtext=”” center=”false” logo1url=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nfl/100/bal.png” link1=”” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/859377_Bet365@1x.png” trailinglink=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/online-sports-betting/reviews/bet365″ trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]

A heavy Henry workload means Lamar Jackson would potentially see fewer rushing attempts.

With playoffs around the corner, that seems like a smart idea for everyone involved. The Ravens can’t risk Jackson getting injured, and although they won’t ever remove rushing from his game, you’d expect them to discourage it this week — especially if the game is in their hands.

Jackson has gone under 44.5 rushing yards four times in the past eight games, and with playoffs looming, you’d expect another under game could be in play.

Last week, he only had four carries. Given the risk to his health as rusher, this week should be similar.

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”D’Onta Foreman Anytime Touchdown (+310)” subtext=”” center=”false” logo1url=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nfl/100/cle.png” link1=”” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/779359_BetMGM800x200@1x.png” trailinglink=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/online-sports-betting/reviews/betmgm” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]

Nick Chubb, Jerome Ford and Pierre Strong Jr. are all on IR, which leaves D’Onta Foreman as the next man up for Cleveland.

At this point, we know Foreman isn’t an elite running back. With his size, though, he can be dangerous in short-yardage situations.

The Browns are unlikely to win this game, but they will find themselves deep in Ravens territory at points of this game. And +310 on any starting running back to score, no matter who the opposition is, is simply too big.
