Let’s get into my Giants vs Ravens prediction and NFL best bets.

The Ravens are 17-point favorites over the Giants (Ravens -17), which is the biggest spread of the NFL season. The game total is set at 42.5 points, while Baltimore is -2000 on the moneyline compared to +1000 for New York.

The Ravens are coming off their bye week and have lost 2 of their last 3 games. Lamar Jackson has MVP-like numbers this season, but the Ravens have scored less than 20 points twice in those last 3 games. The Giants have lost 8 straight games and will turn to Tommy DeVito at quarterback this week after Drew Lock hurt his heel last week.

Ravens vs. Giants Prediction, Picks

Spread

While the Ravens should win this game, I’m picking the Giants to cover the spread.

Moneyline

I’m not betting this moneyline, but a +1000 home underdog sure is tempting.

Over/Under

I have no pick on the total in this game either.

My Pick: Giants +17

Baltimore Ravens vs. New York Giants Betting Preview

Simply put, this spread is too big for me to recommend betting on the Ravens.

I’m not going to sit here and tell you that the Giants are actually a sneaky good team. What I will tell you is that they have been competitive in most games they’ve played this season.

The Giants are 2-11 overall, but seven of those losses were by one possession. One of those other four losses saw them give up a garbage-time touchdown to the Bengals, that inflated the scoreline, as well.

New York has lost eight straight games, but five of the last six have been one-possession defeats.

While the Giants played unimpressive teams like the Panthers, Buccaneers, Cowboys and Saints in that stretch, it’s still impressive that a team without any hope has remained competitive.

There are a few Lamar Jackson-centric trends that say this would normally be a spot to back him. He’s 29-17 against the spread (ATS) in his career on the road, and road favorites coming off a bye week, like the Ravens, are 77-54-4 (59%) ATS since 2004.

That’s about it, though. Otherwise, everything else is saying to take the 16.5 points with the Giants.

Jackson is 9-12 ATS on extended rest, and he’s 2-6 ATS coming off a full bye week (that record is 1-5 in the regular season).

Also, Jackson has struggled to cover the spread on the road as a favorite. In his career, he’s 5-7 ATS when laying seven or more points on the road. He’s also 3-9-1 ATS as a favorite of six or more against NFC teams.

Also, per Evan Abrams, the Giants ended their seven-game ATS losing streak last week. Since 1990, teams that broke a streak of seven or more games without covering the spread are 15-4-3 ATS in their next game.

I think the Ravens will win, but they may have one eye on a big matchup with the Steelers next week. This Giants team has remained competitive enough that I’ll take the 16.5 points and hope for 17.

My Pick: Giants +17
