Million-Dollar Bettor Backs Chiefs Again With $1.45M Wager

Back in September, a Caesars Sports customer in Nevada was already onto the Kansas City Chiefs‘ trend of playing (and winning) in one-score games.

The bettor skipped the point spread and put $1 million on Chiefs moneyline -175 vs. the Atlanta Falcons in Week 3.

Of course, K.C. won a one-score game, 22-17 on the road, helping the bettor profit $571,429, for a total payout of $1,571,429.

That same customer is now looking for a massive stocking stuffer on Christmas Day. Caesars announced Monday that it took a $1.45 million bet on Chiefs moneyline -145 vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The bettor has no desire to mess around with the spread.

“I respect the play by the customer. Why get involved in a spread, with all the Chiefs’ close calls?” Caesars Sports vice president of trading Craig Mucklow said. “The [Chiefs] moneyline is definitely an angle customers play as a safety net, and it has proved profitable all season for the bettors.”

Indeed. Kansas City is 14-1 SU this season, but just 7-8 ATS. At one point, the Chiefs failed to cover in seven consecutive games yet went 6-1 SU.

Eleven of Kansas City’s 15 games this season had one-score final margins, and the Chiefs won all 11 of them. In fact, K.C. is 16-0 SU in its last 16 one-score games.

As long as the Chiefs win at Pittsburgh on Wednesday, the bettor will pocket $1 million in profit for a total payout of $2.45 million.

“The Kansas City Chiefs have consistently demonstrated their prowess, securing victories that have captivated fans. The customer reaffirmed their support, placing a second [seven-figure] wager on the two-time defending champions,” Mucklow said.
