Aidan Hutchinson Cements Heisman Candidacy With Dominant Performance vs. Ohio State

Michigan defensive end Aidan Hutchinson just made one of the biggest statements all season Saturday, to the extent he’s now in the Heisman mix — literally.

The star-studded pass rusher broke the Michigan record for sacks in a 42-27 win against arch-rival Ohio State, sending the Wolverines to the Big Ten title game.

His +700 price tag at DraftKings is now the third-shortest for Heisman at the time of writing, behind only Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud and the favorite, Alabama’s Bryce Young.

The senior’s been a force in Mike MacDonald’s defense, collecting 54 tackles, a couple forced fumbles and 12 sacks in as many games this season.

Naturally, the Plymouth, Michigan native’s considered a top NFL prospect with the 2022 draft around the corner – and his stock’s taking off at a torrid pace.

The win for Hutchinson and the Wolverines Saturday also broke an eight-year losing skid against the Buckeyes.

It was the first victory in the rivalry for head coach Jim Harbaugh, who will wind up leading the country with a 10-2 mark against the spread.

In a year most projected Michigan to sag back in the Big Ten, it might have a conference championship, win over Ohio State and Heisman winner in the same season.

Go figure.
