The Bulldogs have deployed a balanced attack this season, and we should see them have plenty of success both on the ground and through the air in this matchup.

Georgia can control this game by keeping the ball on the ground. The Bulldogs are one of the top rushing offenses in the country, ranking 15th in yards per rush.

They will be facing a Georgia Tech defense that ranks 127th in yards per rush allowed. The Bulldogs have a massive edge in the trenches and should not have a negative rush in this matchup.

However, the offensive onslaught could continue through the air. Quarterback Carson Beck sits third in the nation in completion percentage and 10th in yards per pass.

He gets to face a Georgia Tech secondary that’s 86th in opponent completion percentage and 83rd in yards per pass allowed.

While Beck may have some big throws in this matchup, we should see the Bulldogs pound the rock, especially as their lead grows, which helps our angle.

The Yellow Jackets’ offense has been the reason for their leap this season. Haynes King’s progression as a passer is a great story.

While he may be relied on in a trailing game script, his success and the rest of the Yellow Jackets will be contained. While this Bulldogs defense is not what it’s been in years past, they still have an elite secondary.

Georgia is fifth in PFF’s coverage grading, fifth in yards per pass and 18th in opponent completion percentage. So, while King has had a great season, if the passing attack is locked up the Yellow Jackets will be unable to punch back when Georgia scores.

This game has “blowout” written all over it. Georgia’s offense will be able to bully Georgia Tech on the ground.

However, that edge means they will likely have long sustained drives, which takes time off the clock and lessens scoring opportunities for Georgia Tech.
