If you like rooting for points, four college football over/under picks are ripe for scoring Saturday.
And it’s all about the Week 4 weather.
Our “Weather Overs” PRO System is among my favorites for college football season.
Over/under picks have cashed 59% lifetime from this particular, situational angle, which is comfortably above the standard profit rate betting a market like college football totals.
Four matchups are lined up right in the sweet spot.
Let me explain how the PRO System works, how to unlock this weather model (and more), and why key, subtle elements in the forecast have historically produced more fireworks than the markets anticipate.
College Football Weather, Over/Under Picks Using Week 4 Forecasts
Yep, that’s right: Weather can be a positive for points; it’s not all about wind, rain, or other gaudy elements.
Using our Weather Overs PRO System, the model shows nonconference college football games have gone over the total 58% of the time when the temperature ranges from 85-106 degrees, wind speeds below 11 mph and a total is lower than 59.
Heat, unfamiliarity and low totals usually create a solid recipe for scoring.

These games are all recommended bets to go over the total:
- UCLA vs. LSU Over 56.5
- Tulane vs. Louisiana Over 53.5
- TCU vs. SMU Over 58.5
- Miami (OH) vs. Notre Dame Over 43.5
UCLA vs. LSU boasts arguably the best overall conditions (89 degrees, 6 mph winds).
Tulane vs. Louisiana over the total is also supported by PRO Projections! Action PRO models tabbed the over/under more like 56.1
SMU vs. TCU, meanwhile, is the hottest game among the model picks (93 degrees). It’s also a great-buy low spot on the SMU offense to rack up points against a spotty Horned Frogs defense.
Finally, Notre Dame showcased its offensive potential last week by hanging 66 on Purdue. The Fighting Irish could fatten up the scoreboard at home in solid elements (85 degrees, virtually no wind), especially after losing to a MAC team at home in a similar spot just a few weeks ago.
