The early college football betting market for Week 9 has been a quiet one to this point.
Interestingly, a handful of games have taken some market-moving action to this point, but compared to most other weeks, it’s been quiet on the college football odds front.
Still, that doesn’t mean college football Week 9 has been completely devoid of value, as sharps have quietly taken positions on two of Saturday’s matchups thus far.

Notre Dame vs. Syracuse Pick
Oct. 29 | 12 p.m. ET | ABC
Coming off a tough loss to Clemson last weekend, Syracuse is a 3-point home favorite against Notre Dame in Week 9.
In the case of Notre Dame vs. Syracuse, the storyline for bettors is how this spread has moved already this week.
The Fighting Irish initially hit the market at +4.5 at FanDuel, and sharp early action flooded that price, knocking Notre Dame down to a consensus of +3 as of the time of writing.
With plenty of time between now and Saturday’s kickoff, it’ll be interesting to monitor if/when this line moves off the most important spread in football betting.
PRO Report Pick: Notre Dame +3

Northwestern vs. Iowa Pick
Oct. 29 | 3:30 p.m. ET | ESPN2
This game got quite a rise on Twitter earlier in the week when Circa Sports in Las Vegas opened this total at a paltry 31.5, which would have been the lowest college football over/under that we’ve ever tracked.
While a good story for sure, pro bettors wasted no time absolutely blitzing the Northwestern vs. Iowa over.
Multiple waves of smart money have crashed on this side of the total, rocketing the line up to between 36.5 and 37 (click here for live college football odds) depending on the sportsbook.
PRO Report Pick: Over 36.5
