The Colorado Buffaloes take the two-hour drive to Colorado Springs to face the Air Force Falcons on Saturday.

The game is nationally televised on CBS and the spread is a whopping 17.5 points in favor of Air Force.

It is expected to be a fascinating game as a Power 5 bottom-dweller travels to play a team that has been picked to win the Mountain West.

Know what could make it even more interesting? Some inclement weather is expected to roll into the Rocky Mountains.

Colorado vs. Air Force Forecast

Colorado has been dealing with a heat wave with temperatures reaching 100 degrees over the past week. That is expected to be all gone by Saturday as the weather is expected to take a turn.

The high for Friday was 59 degrees with overcast throughout the day according to Weather.com. That’s close to a 40 degree difference from the forecast during the week.

Anybody that has been in Colorado in the Summer and Fall knows that typically if there are thick clouds in the sky, that means it is almost a guarantee there will be some rain at some point.

Weather.com says there’s a 52% chance of occasional rain showers in the afternoon with eastern winds between 10-15 mph.

That would cause directional winds across Falcon Stadium heading towards the mountains.

Humidity could also play a factor as both teams are used to the dry climate. Humidity is expected to be above 80% on Saturday afternoon causing thicker air for passes and kicks.

Betting Report for Colorado vs. Air Force

Bettors like the favorite in this one, as Air Force is catching 63% of tickets against Colorado.

The over 49.5, meanwhile, is catching the majority of the betting count, with two of every three bets rooting for a high-scoring game.
