My Wisconsin vs UCLA Big Ten Tournament Betting Preview
A great matchup is on deck for Friday afternoon’s Wisconsin and UCLA matchup, and I think we’re getting a decent price on the total. This number opened at 140.5 and has started to steam up, with some shops already touching at 142.5.
I like the Bruins here for many reasons, and it’s not because of the Wisconsin offense. The market has overrated the Bruins defense for most of the season, but they’re not a good rebounding group.
The Badgers don’t force turnovers, so that should give the Bruins plenty of clean possessions on offense. UCLA ranks 36th in adjusted offensive efficiency.
I also love the Badgers’ matchup, as the Bruins have been torched inside the arc. They’ve also been fortunate against the triple, and the Badgers have the firepower to keep it a high-scoring contest.
UCLA ranked at the bottom of the Big Ten in 3-point attempts allowed per game, so they’ve been living dangerously. The Badgers were first in attempts per game, so they’re not afraid to let it fly consistently.
With such a low spread, I wouldn’t be surprised to see this become a foul fest at the end of the game that will propel the total over the number.
