Marquette hosts Villanova on Friday night and I’m fading the Golden Eagles’ big man to start.
Ben Gold has stayed under this line 74% of the time this season and Villanova has a steal rate of 7.9%, which is the 21st-lowest in Division I.
I project him with around a 67% chance to not record a steal.

Villanova’s Wooga Poplar has only cleared this line once over the last six games, but I think this is a good spot to buy low, as he was ejected after just eight minutes last game.
Marquette plays at a fast pace, turns the ball over at one of the lowest rates in the country and gets to the line at one of the lowest rates in the country.
The Golden Eagles also take a high percentage of 3-point attempts. That means Nova should face more missed shots and potential rebound chances than usual here. I think Poplar could benefit the most, as he leads all Nova starters with a 21.6% defensive rebound percentage.
I project him closer to 7.5 rebounds, with around a 61% chance to clear 6.5.

Rasheer Fleming is more than capable of racking up a ton of rebounds, but he’s stayed under this number 58% of the time this season.
This could be a tougher matchup for him to clear this number, as Dayton plays at a slow pace, is a good shooting team and gets to the line at a high rate.
Fleming does a good job of staying out of foul trouble, but he does face a higher risk of getting two quick fouls in this game, given Dayton’s ability to draw fouls. That gives Fleming a lower floor than usual.
Plus, with Zed Key (questionable) missing time, Dayton has been giving 7-foot-1 Amael L’Etang more playing time. He could make it a bit tougher for Fleming to dominate the glass
I’m projecting Fleming closer to 8.7 rebounds, with around a 61% chance to stay under 9.5.
