Portland Trail Blazers vs Utah Jazz NBA Betting Preview
Deni Avdija is questionable tonight. Portland is officially out of playoff contention, so the most likely scenario is he sits out. The books seemed to just assume that’s what will happen, and kind of punted on these lines.
Avdija’s rebounds prop had been up as high as 9.5 in recent games. Again, these will probably just get voided. But on the slim chance Avdija actually suits up, I’m attacking these lines.
Since the start of March, Avdija leads the Blazers with 10.6 rebounds per game on a healthy 17 rebound chances per game. He has double-digit rebounds in 9 of 16 games in that span. Portland remains banged up in the frontcourt, so the opportunities should be there.
Washington is on their own island in terms of rebounding ineptitude, but Utah is trying to keep pace. Utah is 29th in rebounding rate and rebounds allowed over the past 10 games.
Their rebounding rate drops by a massive 5.6% with Walker Kessler off the floor. It’s a tremendous matchup for Portland; we just have to figure out who is playing for them tonight.

Toumani Camara is my alternative if Deni Avdija sits tonight. Camara has made an impact on the glass all season, ranking 4th on the team in rebounds (5.9) and rebound chances (11.5) per game. Deandre Ayton leads the team in both categories, and he’s out tonight. Avdija is 3rd.
Camara has started every game he’s appeared in, but the playing time has fluctuated. When he’s played 30+ minutes, he’s averaged 6.1 rebounds per game. Portland is thin on healthy bodies right now, especially if Avdija sits. Camara should cruise past 30 minutes tonight.
He’s played 30+ minutes in every game since the start of March, outside of Thursday against Toronto when he went down with an ankle injury. He returned on Sunday and grabbed 10 rebounds against San Antonio.
