The Spurs don’t have much to play for, given that they’re no longer in contention for a playoff spot. However, you wouldn’t know it with the way Harrison Barnes is playing, as the Spurs forward is currently on a tear, averaging 25 points over his last six games.
Those numbers are well above his season scoring average of 12.4.
During this recent run, we’ve also seen his playing time tick up to over 30 minutes on the floor, culminating with a 36-minute effort against the Warriors.
It’s also worth noting that his season average is 27.3 per game, so there has clearly been a considerable jump.
Given his form, Barnes should get plenty of scoring opportunities on Friday night against a Suns team that ranks 27th in Defensive Efficiency, allowing 117.9 points per 100 possessions.
