The Orlando Magic face off against the Atlanta Hawks in a high-voltage matchup for the right to play the Celtics as the 7-seed in the Eastern Conference Playoffs.
If this NBA Play-In game plays out like an Orlando-style contest, expect a grind. But it could also mean Atlanta has few — if any — defensive answers, as is often the case. And if it’s an Atlanta-style game, we’re likely to see more offense than the total implies — mostly from the Hawks.

Dyson Daniels has hit over 10.5 rebounds + assists in 12 of 15 to end the season. One of the unders was against Orlando, but in a playoff game, the main characters will play more minutes.
Daniels was at sub-34 that night, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he closes in on 40 here. He averaged over seven rebounds and over five assists over the last month of the season, and I like him to start us off here.

A Trae Young double-double isn’t a gimme, but he recorded one in 11 of his final 12 games this season.
He’s only notched one double-double in three games against Orlando this year, but that one came in April, and if we’re likening these to playoff games, we should expect even more usage from the offensive dynamo.

Paolo Banchero absolutely shreds this team. He has recorded, in his last five games against Atlanta — going back to January 7 — 49, 34, 41, 51 and 47 PRA.
Even against Cleveland in last year’s postseason, we saw him get at least 45 PRA three times, and that’s against a team who was sixth in defense, not 19th.
Banchero will garner a ton of attention, he’s a star, but the Hawks don’t present any suitable answers, and scoring is not all that matters here. Luckily, Banchero is all around productive.
