This should be a fun matchup between teams that could meet in the Western Conference Finals. It might not feature much of Hayes, though. He’s been minimized in these more important games against better teams down the stretch.
Hayes played between 15-17 minutes against Memphis, Houston, and Golden State before spiking a 24-minute game last time out against New Orleans. Los Angeles will have all of their key players available, so we’re likely to see another sub-20-minute outing from Hayes.
The Thunder is a nightmare matchup in many ways, but they’re particularly hard on interior scorers. Oklahoma allows 3.5 fewer points in the paint per game than the next-closest team. That’s the difference between 2nd and 16th on the list. It’s just a massive gap between the Thunder and the other defenses. Hayes scores 83.6% of his points from inside the paint.
Pick: Jaxson Hayes Under 6.5 Points (-120)
[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Deni Avdija Over 9.5 Points (+114)” subtext=”Spurs vs Trail Blazers, 6:00 p.m. ET” center=”false” logo1url=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/312105_Blazers.png” link1=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/odds/portland-trail-blazers” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”” trailinglink=”” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]
I’m going right back to Deni Avdija after hitting the step ladder on Friday. He leads Portland with 10.7 rebounds on 17.0 rebound chances since the start of March.
The Blazers remain banged up in the frontcourt, with Deandre Ayton, Robert Williams, and Jerami Grant out. Duop Reath and Toumani Camara are questionable. Scoot Henderson has been solid on the glass from the guard spot, but he’s also out.
San Antonio ranks 25th in rebounding rate and 26th in rebounds allowed over the past 10 games. They’ve struggled on the glass all season, and the loss of Victor Wembanyama certainly hasn’t helped.
This game has a tight spread, and Avdija has been playing a ton of minutes. He has 11+ rebounds in three straight games.
Pick: Deni Avdija Over 9.5 Rebounds (+114)

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Fred VanVleet Over 4.5 Assists (-145)” subtext=”Rockets vs Warriors, 8:30 p.m. ET” center=”false” logo1url=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nba/100/hou.png” link1=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/odds/houston-rockets” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”” trailinglink=”” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]
By Nick Galaida
Entering play on Sunday, Fred VanVleet has recorded 9+ potential assists in each of his last six games. During that span, he led the Rockets in assists and potential assists per game, earning the role of the team’s top facilitator.
Golden State has allowed the 5th-fewest potential assists per game to guards since the All-Star break, but they have allowed the most potential assists per game overall in that span, so there could be some room for VanVleet to operate.
This season, VanVleet has recorded 5+ assists in 29 of 43 games when he has between 7-13 potential assists. There is a small edge on the over.
Pick: Fred VanVleet Over 4.5 Assists (-145)
