Lopez had played 30+ minutes in 16 straight games until Tuesday. With Bobby Portis returning from suspension, Lopez saw his minutes go down to 28 against Minnesota. Last night against New Orleans, he played just 23 minutes. Lopez played just 5 minutes in the 4th quarter.

The lopsided score certainly contributed to it, but the floor is much lower now. Portis actually closed over Lopez in that game against the Timberwolves.

Lopez has played less than 30 minutes in 25 games and averaged 8.6 points, 4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.

Pick: Brook Lopez Under 18.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists (-125)

This number is two points lower on BetRivers than it is at most of the other books. I’m grabbing it. This is a massive game for both teams as they jockey for position in the middle of the Western Conference.

With Jamal Murray being ruled out, Jokic has seen a 4.5% usage bump. He’s averaged an extra 2.2 field goal attempts and 2.2 free throw attempts per 36 minutes with Murray on the bench. Jokic has posted 35.3 PPG in 12 games without Murray.

Memphis was torched by Anthony Edwards and the Timberwolves last night. They’ve allowed the 6th-most points per game over the past 10 contests. Zach Edey has seen more playing time since Taylor Jenkins was fired. The Grizzlies‘ defensive rating is worse with Edey on the floor. Jokic should feast in that individual matchup.

Pick: Nikola Jokic Over 30.5 Points (-120)

Portis has returned from his suspension and looked like himself, dropping an 18/10 double-double in his return, then 14 points and 8 rebounds last night. He’s another player who would see a massive bump if Giannis Antetokounmpo sits out or plays limited minutes.

Again, neither of these teams is playing for much at this point. I’m making some assumptions based on the situation. This Portis line is the same as last night when we knew Antetokounmpo was available. It doesn’t account for any of the various possibilities. Even if Milwaukee plays it straight, we’re in a fine spot. Portis has averaged 12.4 PPG off the bench this year.

Pick: Bobby Portis Over 12.5 Points (-115)
