We hit this when these two teams matched up a couple weeks back. I’m going back to it here. Immanuel Quickley is out for the Raptors tonight, but RJ Barrett is back.

Scottie Barnes gets a bump in assist rate with Quickley sidelined, but Barrett’s presence trims his usage and rebounding rate.

This line seems to be near Barnes’ ceiling with Toronto mostly healthy, and it does’t account for the brutal matchup.

Orlando is 3rd in defensive rating and 2nd in points allowed per game. They’ve allowed the 2nd-fewest rebounds and the fewest assists per game.

The Magic are dead last in pace. It’s one of the most difficult matchups in the league for across-the-board production.

Barrett leads the team in usage, so Barnes might not get up 19 shots like he did last time these teams matched up. We could get burned by assists with Quickley out, but his absence is priced into the line.

If Barnes racks up double-digit dimes against the best team in the league at limiting assists, I’ll tip my cap.

Pick: Scottie Barnes Under 34.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists (-125)

Mikal Bridges has been playing some great basketball recently with 23+ points in three of the Knicks‘ last four games.

The volume has been great, and even last game with Karl-Anthony Towns back in the lineup, Bridges had 17 shot attempts.

He draws a revenge game here against the Nets, who are also a plus-matchup.

The Nets are a below-average pace team, but are also one of the worst defensive teams in the league this season, allowing the 10th most 3-pointers per game on the year.

Bridges should continue his recent volume, and even with the chance of a blowout, this line is too low.

Pick: Mikal Bridges Over 16.5 Points (-120)

Nikola Jovic has seen a big jump in production of late, and this number is representing a stale version of his usual output.

The 21-year-old is averaging 13.1 points per game since New Year’s Day, and has averaged 12.1 in 18 games since returning from an early season injury.

Now, he gets a tasty matchup against the Blazers having cleared this number in eight of his last 10 games, and 11 of 18 since his return from injury mid-season.

RotoGrinders has him projected for 12.1 points. I think we’ll see Jovic go over this number tonight.

Pick: Nikola Jovic Over 9.5 Points (-120)
