Portland seems ready to hand the keys over to Scoot Henderson. Even with everyone healthy, they’ve kept Henderson in the starting lineup. He’s played 30+ minutes in 5 straight games, something he had done just 4 times prior to this stretch.
Henderson’s emergence is a direct downgrade for Anfernee Simons. He’s the big loser with Henderson on the floor, seeing a team-leading 3.3% usage rate decline. Simons’ assist rate falls by a massive 6%. It’s a big sample too (426 minutes).
Orlando is one of the best teams in the league at limiting assists. They’ve allowed the fewest assists per game and the 2nd-lowest assisted field goal rate. The Magic have held shooting guards to the fewest assists per game.
Pick: Anfernee Simons Under 4.5 Assists (-140)

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Wendell Carter to Record a Double-Double (+150)” subtext=”Trail Blazers vs Magic, 7:00 p.m. ET” center=”false” logo1url=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nba/100/orl.png” link1=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/odds/orlando-magic” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”” trailinglink=”” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]
Without Goga Bitadze in the lineup recently, Wendell Carter has been playing a lot more minutes and has been producing in those minutes.
He has tallied 30+ minutes in each of the last 4 games, and has gotten a double-double in 3 of those games.
He gets an above-average matchup vs. the Blazers tonight, who have played at a top-6 pace while being a bottom defensive team.
A blowout is a slight concern, but Carter should end up with enough minutes regardless.
The Magic have been in several blowouts in the last 4 games, and Carter has still played 30+ minutes in all of those games.
Pick: Wendell Carter to Record a Double-Double (+150)

There are a lot of moving parts with the Clippers right now, but I like this prop even through the noise.
The Clippers played last night and had 6 regular rotation players sit, and we don’t have an injury report yet for their back-to-back with the Wizards.
However, Ivica Zubac is a player who–if he plays (he sat last night)–shouldn’t see too much impact on his minutes based on players sitting out or not.
Even with every rotation player in, the RotoGrinders projections have Zubac at 16.24 points, thanks in large part to a tasty matchup against the Wizards.
The Wizards have allowed the highest total of points per game and are very soft on the interior.
Pick: Ivica Zubac Over 13.5 Points (-120)
