Joel Embiid is still out, so we’re back to my favorite bet. We’re 11-for-12 on this prop.

Tyrese Maxey’s assist rate has dropped by 1.1% with Embiid on the bench. He’s averaged 5.8 assists in 24 games without Embiid. With Paul George on the floor, Maxey’s assist rate has fallen by 4.1%.

He did spike a 10-assist game last time out, but that came against the team who has allowed the most assists per game (Denver).

Cleveland is 11th in assists allowed and 9th in opponent assisted field goal rate.

The Cavaliers have slipped in defensive rating this month with Evan Mobley sidelined, but they’ve also fallen outside the top 10 in pace.

Philly’s team total is in line with their season average. Maxey could have some success in the scoring department, but I’m expecting him to struggle with assists again.

Pick: Tyrese Maxey Under 6.5 Assists (-140)

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Jerami Grant Over 14.5 Points (+100)” subtext=”Trail Blazers vs Hornets, 7:00 p.m. ET” center=”false” logo1url=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/312105_Blazers.png” link1=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/odds/portland-trail-blazers” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”” trailinglink=”” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]

With the Blazers messing with their starting lineup recently, Jerami Grant has had a bit of an increase in usage without Shaedon Sharpe in the starting lineup.

The Hornets are around an average matchup, as they are around 20th in both pace and defensive efficiency, but with a 5-point spread, this game should stay close.

Grant should continue with his current role and get 12-14 shot attempts, with upside for more, if he gets more minutes.

I have Grant projected for 1.5 points over this number, making this a good bet at even-money.

Pick: Jerami Grant Over 14.5 Points (+100)

Philadelphia will be without its top two rebounders with Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond sidelined. The Sixers are dead last in the league in rebounding rate. It’s an excellent matchup for opposing bigs.

Speaking of absent big men, Evan Mobley remains out for the Cavs. Jarrett Allen has gotten a 1.3% rebounding rate boost with Mobley off the floor.

More importantly, he gets a playing time boost. Allen is averaging 28.8 minutes per game on the season, but he’s been at 31.9 in 5 games without Mobley. That includes a 22-minute outing on Monday in a blowout win over Phoenix.

Allen already leads the team in rebounds (10) and rebound chances (16.7) per game, so a boost in rebounding rate and playing time is significant. He’s averaging 12 rebounds per game when playing 30+ minutes (22 games).

Philly could certainly get blown out here, but they are at home and have both Tyrese Maxey and Paul George available.

Allen isn’t completely dead in a blowout either. He grabbed 11 boards in that abbreviated performance against the Suns.

Pick: Jarrett Allen Over 10.5 Rebounds (-140)
