The Boston Celtics travel to Atlanta to face the Hawks in Game 6 of their first-round series on Thursday evening. Al Horford (42% opening tip win-rate) will go up against Clint Capela (48% win rate) for the opening tip-off. Capela has won five of seven opening tip-offs versus Horford this season.
In eight games between these teams this season, De’Andre Hunter (three times), Dejounte Murray, John Collins and Trae Young (twice) have all cashed first basket tickets for the Hawks. Jaylen Brown cashed the lone first basket for the Celtics.
It still looks like the books are expecting Boston to score first. The Hawks get Murray back off of a one-game suspension and he has been hot in this series, averaging 25 points per game. I’ll take Murray and Hunter to score the first basket in this one, as the Celtics will likely try to force the ball out of Young’s hands early in Game 6.
