Okay, we’re buying in on the Magic!
Last night’s 118-106 win over the Lakers confirmed to us that the Magic might be ready for another spread run, like in November, when they covered 12 of 21 on a particularly hot stretch. The win over the Lakers (making Orlando 2-0 vs. Los Angeles this season), along with the recent win over the Cavs, suggests a higher ceiling for the Magic when both Paolo Banchero (30 points last night) and Franz Wagner (32 on Monday) are available.
Meanwhile, Charlotte’s occasional good efforts are being well outnumbered by poor showings lately, with blowout losses in four of their past five games.
Play the Magic.
Pick: Orlando Magic -4.5

I get flack for giving out moneyline picks north of -300, but if we look at them as a whole, they continue to be profitable. Finding the occasional spot to back a steep moneyline favorite can still provide value.
Here, the Knicks take on a Mavericks team playing on the second night of a back-to-back, while in New York City. Additionally, Dallas won’t have Anthony Davis, despite his return against Brooklyn in Monday night’s game.
The Knicks have an elite scoring big in Karl-Anthony Towns, who can play inside and out, which gives the Mavericks’ defensive scheme trouble since they prefer to keep a big in the paint.
Matchup advantage: Knicks. Talent advantage: Knicks. Schedule spot advantage: Knicks. Home-court advantage: Knicks.
I’m risking 1 unit to bring home about 0.3 in expected profit on a Knicks win.
A great bet doesn’t always return a high amount — the Knicks are still a great bet.
Pick: New York Knicks ML

The Knicks face off against the Dallas Mavericks, who are playing their second game in as many days. The Mavericks will be without Anthony Davis, while the Knicks will remain without both Jalen Brunson and Miles McBride.
This opens things up for Mikal Bridges, whose scoring increases from 21.5 to 27.9 points per 100 possessions without Brunson. In fact, Bridges has cleared this prop in six of nine games without Brunson this season.
Bridges is coming off a 27-point performance against the Wizards and seems to have regained some of his rhythm. He’s seeing more looks as a primary option and relying less on spot-up scoring and creating more opportunities for himself.
He should have no trouble attacking the Mavericks defense, which has posted the fourth-worst Defensive Rating over the past 10 games.
Pick: Mikal Bridges Over 16.5 Points

How could you not want to?
The Warriors are 16-3 with Jimmy Butler since trading for him.
Meanwhile, Miami is 5-17 since dealing Butler and just snapped a 10-game losing streak.
Butler can say all he wants about this being just another game, but it’s hard not to expect him to deliver a statement performance. And given Miami’s form over the past two months, it’s equally hard to see the Heat pulling off a win.
That said, Butler has scored 20 or more points in just eight of 19 games as a Warrior.
But you understand the assignment here — as does Vegas, setting his line at 21.5.
Pick: Jimmy Butler 20+ points + Warriors Moneyline

The Golden State Warriors are playing some of their best basketball of the season following the addition of Jimmy Butler from the Heat. With Butler in the lineup, the Warriors have posted an impressive 16-3 record, and his impact has been felt immediately in multiple ways.
Not only are the Warriors scoring more points per game, they are also holding opponents to nearly eight fewer points per contest. Butler has been instrumental in giving Stephen Curry some much-needed rest, helping turn the team’s net rating from -10 to +7.
Curry has been dealing with some nagging injuries, but the Warriors should have plenty of energy for this matchup. The Heat, meanwhile, just snapped a 10-game losing streak with a win over the Hornets.
Miami dominated Golden State in the previous meeting, winning 114-98 on the road, but tonight, expect the Warriors to turn up the heat and trounce Miami.
Pick: Golden State Warriors -4.5

The Cavs are just 1-4 in their past five games, with their only win coming against the tanking Jazz. Donovan Mitchell is out, and Mobley is questionable. Meanwhile, Portland is 4-2 on their homestand, with wins over Denver and Memphis, plus a 129-point game against Boston. The Blazers are fighting for a play-in spot, while the Cavs are cruising toward the playoffs. Given the situational edge and motivation spike, there’s value in taking the points. Portland has also covered in six of its past eight games.
Cleveland has allowed 121.5 PPG during its four-game skid, with opponents shooting 48.2% from the field and 39.7% from deep — a clear sign that the perimeter defense is slipping. The Trail Blazers rank 13th in three-pointers made per game and seventh in offensive rebounding percentage. Second-chance points and rhythm shots give them strong cover potential. Meanwhile, the Cavs’ pace has slowed in March, posing a matchup risk.
Shaedon Sharpe is heating up with back-to-back 23-point games. The Blazers put up 129 points in their last matchup against Cleveland (an OT loss).
The Cavs are wrapping up a five-game road trip, which could mean tired legs. Portland is 20-17 at home, with its past three losses coming against playoff teams. Portland has also covered three straight games against Eastern Conference teams.
Pick: Portland Trail Blazers +6.5

Blowout incoming? Oklahoma City just dropped 144 on Sacramento in their most-recent meeting, shooting 53% from the field with a +33 rebound margin. The Thunder lead the NBA in scoring (119.8 PPG) and rank top five in both FG% and 3P%. Meanwhile, the Kings have allowed 119.2 PPG over their past five games, with opponents shooting 50.7% from the field.
The Thunder’s defense has been elite, allowing just 103.8 PPG over their past five games. Sacramento’s home defense? Terrible: 115.3 PPG allowed, 47.3% opponent FG% and 39.1% from deep. Oklahoma City ranks first in Assist/TO ratio (2.42) and is playing clean, efficient basketball. The Kings are 2-6 ATS in their past eight games and coming off a 113-95 loss to Boston on the second leg of a back-to-back.
Sacramento has no answer for Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who had nine assists in their last meeting as the Thunder shot 53% as a team. Oklahoma City has won six straight, with an average margin of victory of 17.7 points per game. Meanwhile, the Kings have lost three in a row, all by double digits.
Pick: Oklahoma City Thunder -10
