Tyrese Haliburton has been absolutely on fire lately. He is coming into this ultimate Pace-Up spot against the Hawks coming off six straight double doubles, and will look to build on that here.

Haliburton has started to look more like himself as it seems he’s consistently been dealing with injuries, including one coming into the season where he re-aggravated his hamstring during the Olympics.

Over this six game stretch, Haliburton is averaging 12.5 assists on 21 potentials per game. Now, he gets a matchup against a Hawks team that allows the sixth-most assists per game to their opponents.

I like this price on Double-Double as an alternative to over 10.5 assists.

This Warriors team is coming off of an impressive win over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden.

However, that was without Karl-Anthony Towns on the court for New York, and I do think that win is inflating this line a bit.

The Warriors have been a good road team this season, but they have also played down to competition several times, including that brutal loss to the 76ers a few games ago.

I’ll take the points with Brooklyn tonight.

Averaging a career-high 21.7 points per game this season, Trey Murphy has built a reputation as one of the league’s best shooters. He is top-20 in the league in both threes made and three-point attempts per game. However, Murphy is an emerging playmaker as well.

Over his past 13 games, Murphy is averaging 5.7 assists per game. He has recorded five or more in 11 games in that span, which coincides with the season-ending injury to DeJounte Murray.

Tonight’s matchup against the Rockets will be difficult as they are allowing the second-fewest assists and sixth-most points per game. However, Murphy has still gotten to five assists during the Thunder (the league’s top defense this season) and the Lakers (the league’s top defense over the last 15 games).

Additionally, Murphy has played 30 minutes in each of his last 10 games with 23.9% usage rate and eight potential assists in nine of them. He should have ample opportunity to clear this line tonight.

The Knicks are 3-4 against the spread as a road favorite and are 12-15 straight up against .500 and above teams.

The Lakers? They’re 19-12 against .500 and above teams, while up to 14-9 as a home favorite ATS.

I do a Knicks show on the New York Post Sports YouTube channel and we’ve talked all year about their shortcomings against good teams.

Against a surging Lakers squad, I’ll bet on that to continue, even if I have questions about them too.

The New York Knicks and the Los Angeles Lakers will clash from LA on Thursday Night. New York comes into the contest with a record of 40-21. The Knicks have supported the third-best record in the Eastern Conference, trailing the second-place Celtics by 2.5 games. Jalen Brunson leads the Knicks with 26.1 points per game and 7.4 assists.

The Lakers begin the contest with a record of 39-21. That record places JJ Redick’s team second in the Western Conference. Los Angeles has been hot lately, winning seven consecutive games and eight of their last 10. LeBron James leads the squad with 24.9 points per game, 8.0 rebounds, and 8.5 assists

Few teams in the NBA are playing better basketball right now than the Lakers. Plus, Los Angeles has been one of the best home teams in basketball this season ATS (20-11). New York has rarely been an underdog but has struggled as a dog with a 3-6 ATS record. James and company should continue their winning ways on their home floor and earn a cover tonight.
