Good spot for Memphis here.

Miami is on the second half of a back-to-back, and just posted a big win over the Celtics.

The Heat haven’t been amazing in these situations, and are facing a Grizzlies squad that’s mostly healthy, including Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr. And Desmond Bane.

Pick: Grizzlies -3.5 (-120)

Jakob Poeltl and Immanuel Quickley are resting, and Scottie Barnes is questionable, so the Raptors may be without some key pieces. Toronto just lost to Portland by a score of 105-102 with a full roster. The Raptors shot 40.4% and gave up 14 offensive rebounds in that game. Now they are even thinner.

Anfernee Simons might return, but the Blazers’ depth wins out either way. The Blazers are putting up 127.4 points per game in their last three wins, hitting 20+ threes in two of those victories. Since March 15, Portland is top-10 in 3-pointers made per game.

Toronto allows 36.2% from beyond the arc (bottom-10), and they just gave up 137 to Chicago, 123 to Detroit, and 129 to Phoenix. The Raptors have no defense inside or out with Poeltl gone. The Blazers should be able to pick them apart.

Toronto just 6-12 SU as home underdog, now running deep-bench lineups. The road team is 9-3 ATS in the last 12 head to head matchups between these two squads. The Blazers are 5-2 SU in their last 7 matchups vs. losing teams.

No rim protection, no energy. Portland should roll, even without Simons.

Pick: Trail Blazers -3.5 (-125)

If you deep dive why the Grizzlies fired their coach in a shocking near end of season move for a playoff bound team, it’s because they were not beating teams over .500, and the pace had decreased despite a front office initiative to be the number one pace and offense in the league.

The new coach is aligned on that philosophy, so I continue to hunt Memphis Overs. In the three games since taking over, Memphis has gone Over twice, and the lone time they didn’t was simply due to poor efficiency. However, the game total still went up 7 points from open to close.

The market hasn’t caught up yet, continue targeting Grizzlies team or game total Overs.

Pick: Over 224 (-110)

The Lakers face off against the Warriors in a pivotal game for the Western Conference standings. These teams are situated in the 4 and 5 seeds right now, and would certainly love to secure a home court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Given the implications and the short spread, we should see extended run from some of the stars tonight, and I’m targeting Luka Doncic. Luka has been playing minutes in the upper-30s while maintaining a Usage Rate of about 35%, even with LeBron James.

Over his last 10 games with LeBron, Doncic has exceeded this 44.5 PRA line in 7 of them, while averaging 45.9. He has also thrived in this matchup. Luka has exceeded this mark in 69% of games dating back to 2022 against the Warriors, including a massive 69 PRA game in his last game against them.

He’s a tough cover due to his size and ability to create for, not only himself, but for his teammates. Plus, he has the ability to grab extra boards against a relatively undersized Warriors team. I’ll back Luka to excel on Wednesday night in this potential first round preview.

Pick: Luka Doncic Over 44.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-106)
