The Raptors have proven they can beat some bad teams in the past week. And not sure they’ll face a worse one the rest of the way than the Sixers.

Philly isn’t really Philly anymore, however, with a slew of injuries turning Nick Nurse’s available roster into something unrecognizable.

Saturday’s limp effort vs. Miami was just the latest in a series of forgettable performances as the Sixers’ skid has now reached seven straight. No Maxey, Embiid, or George to save the day either, with recent conquerors including the lowly Pelicans and Wizards.

Consecutive wins over Washington, Brooklyn, and Charlotte have given Toronto some late-season momentum and a sure sign the team isn’t running for the bus (like some other stragglers), and everyone seems to be chipping in, with Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, and Orlando Robinson each leading scorers in recent games. Play Raptors.

Pick: Knicks -8 (-110)

Scottie Barnes has gone Over this number in five straight games. He’s also already listed at 12.5 in some books, which is notable given that he’s gotten exactly 12 in three of five.

I’d take this Over 11.5, but would stay away from 12.5.

Philly is a favorable matchup though, given that they’re bottoming out and won’t offer much resistance from defensive standpoint, nor will they be the 2004 Pistons on the glass.

Pick: Scottie Barnes Over 11.5 Rebounds + Assists (-140)

This prop is popping on our prop model, and I’m in.

In 14 games without Damian Lillard this season, Lopez has cleared this 10 times, hitting at least one in all 14 games.

Even more notably, Lopez’s effective field goal percentage and usage both jump notably with Lillard off the court this season.

The Hawks are a fast-paced middling defense that isn’t particularly strong at limiting 3s in general, or to big men.

Pick: Brook Lopez Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (-105)

[gameheader haspick=”true” picktext=”Jabari Smith Over 17.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)” league=”nba” awaylogo=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nba/100/hou.png” awayname=”Houston Rockets” awayslug=”houston-rockets” homelogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/875040_Suns.png” homename=”Phoenix Suns” homeslug=”phoenix-suns” date=”Sunday, March 30″ time=”9 p.m. ET” network=”NBA TV” bookname=”bet365″ bookprimarylogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/859377_Bet365@1x.png” bookreviewslug=”bet365″][/gameheader]

By Joe Dellera

The Rockets face off against the Phoenix Suns to cap off the Sunday slate. For this game the Rockets will be without Tari Eason which impacts their frontcourt depth.

One player that should help pick up that slack is Jabari Smith. Jabari has put together a solid season and is averaging 12.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 1 assist per game (19.8 PRA).

He has also found success against this Suns team. He’s cleared this mark in 5/8 games, and although he missed with 15 PRA last time out, he shot poorly from the field and did not make it to the free throw line, which is atypical, as he averages 1.9 and 2.4 FTM/FTA.

The Suns have been a soft matchup to the PF position, and Jabari should find success in a slightly expanded role without Eason.

Pick: Jabari Smith Over 17.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)

[gameheader haspick=”true” picktext=”Max Strus Over 8.5 Points (-110)” league=”nba” awaylogo=”https://images.actionnetwork.com/blog/2023/07/los-angeles-clippers-logo-updated-2023.png” awayname=”Los Angeles Clippers” awayslug=”los-angeles-clippers” homelogo=”https://images.actionnetwork.com/blog/2023/08/nba-updated-logo-cleveland-cavaliers.png” homename=”Cleveland Cavaliers” homeslug=”cleveland-cavaliers” date=”Sunday, March 30″ time=”3:30 p.m. ET” network=”NBA League Pass” bookname=”Fanatics Sportsbook” bookprimarylogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/542724_Fanatics-banner-logo.png” bookreviewslug=”fanatics-sportsbook”][/gameheader]

By Joe Dellera

The Cavaliers face off against the Clippers and will be without Ty Jerome for this one, and the Clippers will miss Kawhi Leonard.

Max Strus absolutely crushed the last time out against LA. He dropped 24 in 26 minutes, and while we shouldn’t expect THAT good of a performance again, he has scored double digit points in four straight games against the Clippers.

Strus is averaging 9.5 points per game, and he really hasn’t been impacted by Deandre Hunter’s arrival. He’s hit this in 8 of his last 10 games, and without Kawhi, the Clippers defense will take a bit of a hit. They allow the 5th-highest frequency of 3s in the league, and Strus can take advantage of those looks.

I’ll back Strus on Sunday afternoon.

Pick: Max Strus Over 8.5 Points (-110)
