[gameheader haspick=”true” picktext=”Trail Blazers -4.5 (-110)” league=”nba” awaylogo=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nba/100/sas.png” awayname=”San Antonio Spurs” awayslug=”san-antonio-spurs” homelogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/312105_Blazers.png” homename=”Portland Trail Blazers” homeslug=”portland-trail-blazers” date=”Sunday, April 6″ time=”6 p.m. ET” network=”NBA League Pass” bookname=”BetMGM” bookprimarylogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/779359_BetMGM800x200@1x.png” bookreviewslug=”betmgm”][/gameheader]

The Spurs have won and covered in two of the first three meetings against Portland this season. However, all three meetings thus far had Victor Wembanyama in the lineup. Literally and figuratively, Wembanyama leaves a big absence in the Spurs’ lineup. Since the All-Star break, the Spurs are just 9-16 without their franchise player.

Meanwhile, Portland is returning home from a five-game road trip. They have covered their last three games, winning two of them. They are 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games.

Amid injuries, Deni Avdija and Shaedon Sharpe have led the way of late. Since the All-Star break, the fourth-year man is averaging 23.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, and 5.3 assists while shooting 50.8% from the field. Meanwhile Sharpe has averaged 20.6 points and 5.6 rebounds since the All-Star break and has gotten to 20 points in five of his last seven games.

Avdija is questionable tonight with a thumb injury. He also carried that designation before Friday’s game and then went for 37 points and 11 rebounds against the Bulls. If he is available tonight, I expect the Blazers to cover at home.

Pick: Trail Blazers -4.5 (-110)

[gameheader haspick=”true” picktext=”Jalen Brunson Over 28.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)” league=”nba” awaylogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/875040_Suns.png” awayname=”Phoenix Suns” awayslug=”phoenix-suns” homelogo=”https://images.actionnetwork.com/blog/2023/07/new-york-knicks-updated-logo-2023.png” homename=”New York Knicks” homeslug=”new-york-knicks” date=”Sunday, April 6″ time=”7 p.m. ET” network=”NBA League Pass” bookname=”DraftKings ” bookprimarylogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/477013_DraftKings@1x.png” bookreviewslug=”draftkings”][/gameheader]

The Knicks face off against the Suns today, and it’s been reported that Jalen Brunson will make his return in this contest. I do not see a circumstance where Brunson returns and is not at full health. He is far too important for this Knicks team to rush him back.

This is the back-end of a back-to-back, and this is a spot that New York has struggled with all season – they are the worst ATS team in the league on zero days of rest. They will need the boost from a fresh Brunson.

Phoenix has the fourth-worst defense in the league, per Dunks and Threes, and racked up a 36-point double double against Phoenix earlier this season.

Brunson has cleared this line in 9 of the last 10 games he’s played and in 74% of games this season. I’ll back him on Sunday.

Pick: Jalen Brunson Over 28.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)

Malik Monk went under this number on Friday against the Hornets, but only because he was limited to 23 minutes in a blowout game script.

Two nights prior, he was stretched out to 35 minutes, signaling that he’s finally fully healthy in his return from injury for the Kings.

This season, Monk has eclipsed this number in 39 of 54 games in which he’s played 25+ minutes, and 36 of 43 games in which he’s played 30+ minutes.

Assuming a somewhat competitive game script on Sunday against the Cavaliers, the math clearly favors the over.

Pick: Malik Monk Over 22.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)

[gameheader haspick=”true” picktext=”Isaiah Collier 20+ Points + Asssits (-120)” league=”nba” awaylogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/4868_jazz.png” awayname=”Utah Jazz” awayslug=”utah-jazz” homelogo=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nba/100/atl.png” homename=”Atlanta Hawks” homeslug=”atlanta-hawks” date=”Sunday, April 6″ time=”6 p.m. ET” network=”NBA League Pass” bookname=”BetMGM” bookprimarylogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/779359_BetMGM800x200@1x.png” bookreviewslug=”betmgm”][/gameheader]

By Bryan Fonseca

Isaiah Collier has recorded 20+ Points + Assists (PA) in five of his last six games, and his over has been one of my favorite bets all year.

Utah is just playing whoever — Collier is one of the leaders of that whoever — and they get a poor Hawks defense on the second night of a back to back. They lost to the Knicks last night.

Collier, though, will have a great matchup once again, and in six straight games where he has shot at least 10 times, he’s gotten his PA over.

So, we’ll need the mix of volume and playmaking, and playing a Hawks team that is top three in pace and near the bottom 10 in defense is a good formula.

Utah is dead-last in defense and seventh in pace, meaning we should get a great mix of opportunities — and points.

Pick: Isaiah Collier 20+ Points + Asssits (-120)

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Rockets vs. Warriors”][/subheader]

[gameheader haspick=”true” picktext=”Fred VanVleet Over 4.5 Assists (-145)” league=”nba” awaylogo=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nba/100/hou.png” awayname=”Houston Rockets” awayslug=”houston-rockets” homelogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/759063_Warriors.png” homename=”Golden State Warriors” homeslug=”golden-state-warriors” date=”Sunday, April 6″ time=”8:30 p.m. ET” network=”NBA TV” bookname=”BetMGM” bookprimarylogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/779359_BetMGM800x200@1x.png” bookreviewslug=”betmgm”][/gameheader]

By Nick Galaida

Entering play on Sunday, Fred VanVleet has recorded 9+ potential assists in each of his last 6 games. During that span, he leads the Rockets in assists and potential assists per game, earning the role of the team’s top facilitator.

Golden State has allowed the 5th-fewest potential assists per game to guards since the All-Star break, but they have allowed the most potential assists per game overall in that span, so there could be some room for VanVleet to operate.

This season, VanVleet has recorded 5+ assists in 29 of 43 games when he has between 7-13 potential assists. There is a small edge on the over.

Pick: Fred VanVleet Over 4.5 Assists (-145)
