The Kings face off against the Pacers tonight, and one player that has continually found success in this matchup is Zach LaVine.

While the Kings have been inconsistent in who scores for them on a nightly basis since the trade deadline, they tend to lean into whomever has the best matchup. LaVine is averaging 21 points per game since joining the Kings, and now with Monk returning to the bench unit, he sees about a 10% bump in his usage without him.

Regardless, he has exceeded this points line in five straight games against the Pacers. He has an exploitable matchup where he had almost been exclusively guarded by Andrew Nembhard, and he’s posted a True Shooting percentage north of 60% in those matchups over the past few seasons. I’d expect that matchup to continue with Nesmith getting more minutes on DeRozan as a slightly bigger player.

This game should be tightly contested and the Pacers present a clear Pace up opportunity with the fifth-fastest Pace in the league. I’ll back LaVine to score on Monday night.

Isaiah Collier draws a good bounce-back spot tonight off two days rest following a three-point outing in Denver.

In that game, he didn’t convert a field goal in seven tries on the second of a back to back.

We have a body of work here, with 24 Overs in 38 games, only recently, we’ve gotten just three in eight.

However, against the Hornets, both teams will be looking to get the most out of the Collier types as they look ahead to the draft.

This is a tough matchup for Jaren Jackson, but I do think this line might be overstating the matchup.

I also think the increase in minutes ceiling for Jackson – in what is expected to be a close game – offsets the tough matchup.

I have Jackson projected for 21.8 points, 2 assists, and 5.7 rebounds in this spot.

There is some real rot at the bottom of the NBA barrel these days, as several going-nowhere teams look to have already run for the bus with the end of the season now looming on the horizon.

The Wizards are one of those for whom the season can’t end soon fast enough, and I’m not sure if Washington hit a lower note in the 115-112 Saturday loss to a depleted Brooklyn or the humiliating 162-109 beating the from the Pacers in their preceding game.

Meanwhile, Miami is showing a bit of class by winning four straight for Erik Spoelstra, whose team now looks comfortably in the play-in field and now focused to at least reach the 9-slot and get a do-or-die game at home vs. the Bulls.

The Heat‘s last four wins have all been by double-digits too, with Tyler Herro of back-to-back 30-point games vs. the Hawks and Sixers. Play Miami.

We’ve seen a bit different side of the Magic lately, as they’ve rallied for four wins in five, and coming off of one of their better efforts of the season in a Saturday blowout of the Kings.

Orlando’s offense, one of the lowest-scoring in the league, has perked up, scoring 114 points per game in their last five, as having both Paolo Banchero (recent five-game stretch of 30 points or more) and Franz Wagner available at the same time for an extended period is helping the offense begin to click.

Meanwhile, with or without Kawhi Leonard (who sat out Sunday’s 127-122 loss at Cleveland), the Clippers are scoring plenty of points lately, tallying 127 points per game thus far in the first three of this four-game trip, with Norman Powell netting 34 on Sunday at Cleveland. I’ll take the Over.

Anthony Davis has had massive usage since returning from injury, as he is the clear offensive hub for this Dallas team, but he is also on a minutes limit. He has played 27, 28, and then 30 minutes since returning.

I would be surprised if Davis gets pushed past 30 minutes, and especially in a game with a 10-point spread, we could see Davis really have his minutes limited. Assuming 30 minutes of run time, I project Davis for 22.1 points and 3 assists tonight.

The line opened at Lakers -4.5. I actually make this -2.3, but I like the spot enough for the difference.

The Lakers face a fatigued Houston team on the second night of a back-to-back; Amen Thompson should miss this game after suffering a re-injury Sunday

Houston has been great against top teams, but the Lakers have been great with Luka Doncic alongside rim-runner Jaxson Hayes and floor spacer Rui Hachimura, going 6-3 straight up.

The Rockets’ best lineup is a two-big look, but they’ll struggle to play that vs. the Lakers’ spacing.

The Rockets won by 39 points Sunday. Teams to win by 35+ points and are road favorites the next game are 42-56 ATS since 2003, and 18-27 when they are a Western Conference team facing a conference opponent.
