UFC Vegas 71, also dubbed UFC on ESPN+ 80 and UFC Fight Night: Pavlovich vs. Blaydes, takes place at the UFC Apex facility in Las Vegas. The entire card streams on ESPN+ beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET (1:30 p.m. PT).
In addition to Pavlovich (17-1) and Blaydes (17-3), who are respectively the No. 3 and No. 4 contenders in the UFC heavyweight division, UFC Vegas 71 features veteran middleweights Brad Tavares (19-8) vs. Bruno Silva (22-8) h in the co-main event.
Fight-week updates include
- Monday: The planned co-headliner of Song Yadong vs. Ricky Simon has been canceled and rescheduled to headline UFC Vegas 72 on April 29. The middleweight bout of Tavares vs. Silva has been elevated to the co-headliner spot as a replacement.
- Friday: Priscila Cachoeira has missed weight by four pounds (130), and her flyweight bout with Karine Silva has been canceled. Additionally, William Gomis missed weight by one pound (147) for his featherweight bout with Francis Marshall and will be fined a portion of his purse.
- Saturday: UFC Vegas 71 has moved from a start time of 4 p.m. ET to 4:30 p.m. ET.
