Mets vs Astros Predictions, Prop Analysis

Tylor Megill

Another under at plus money here, as we are going to fade Megill in this matchup against the Astros. Unlike Jack Leiter, Megill did flash some good strikeout stuff, as he had a 26.5% K% last season. However, this is a tough strikeout spot for him, as the projected Astros lineup has a K% of just 19.5% against RHP since the start of last season, and 6 of the hitters are below 19%. Megill should have a tough time missing bats here.

Hunter Brown

Hunter Brown had an up and down start to his career but he finally settled down and had a good season in 2024. Last year he posted a 25% K% with a 9.4 K/9. There is certainly some danger in this Mets lineup, but there are also some strikeouts out there, as 6 of the 9 projected starters have a 22% K% or higher against RHPs.

Pick: Hunter Brown Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-130) & Tylor Megill Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-115)

Mets vs Astros Parlay

  • Hunter Brown Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-125)
  • Tylor Megill Under 4.5 Strikeouts (-125)
