Different day, same story as it pertains to the betting activity on the Cubs-Pirates moneyline.
Last night, sportsbooks dropped the Cubs from around -200 to -170 despite two-thirds of bettors taking that side. Of course, the Cubs still wound up cashing that majority of tickets, but sharps don’t seem to be making much of that one-game sample.

Sharp Action
Just before 10 a.m. ET, two Sports Insights Bet Signals were triggered on the Pirates at +142, indicating sharp, market-moving money hitting the underdogs.
Some shops are still hovering around the +140 mark, but most have now dipped into the +130s, with our consensus line showing +136.
Big Money
Only 25% of bettors are taking Pittsburgh (which makes the line move in that direction all the more indicative of sharp action), but those bettors have generated 40% of actual dollars hitting the moneyline. And since sharper bets are more likely to be bigger than recreational ones, that split serves as another sign that the pros are behind the Pirates once again.
