Braves pitcher Spencer Schwellenbach came through for us again on Thursday, although he did finally allow a run. His ERA jumped all the way up to 0.45. Schwellenbach has given up just 13 base runners across 20 innings of work.
On the Toronto side, Kevin Gausman has gotten off to a solid start of his own. He didn’t allow an earned run over 8 innings pitched last time out against a good Red Sox lineup.
His fastball seems to be back after he dealt with some shoulder issues at the beginning of last season. The strong outing against the Boston lowered his ERA to 2.33.
Atlanta seems to be waking up on offense, but it’s been reported that Marcell Ozuna will miss this series with an injury. He’s been this team’s most consistent bat so far, and the Braves are already thin after losing Jurickson Profar to suspension.
At worst, this should be a decent matchup for Gausman.

We don’t have a huge sample size of White Sox pitcher Sean Burke in the majors so far with just 30 innings under his belt, but he’s allowed a large 2.03 HR/9 this season and grades out as a well-above-average matchup for power.
The weather is a bit cold over in Chicago, but that’s entirely negated with the wind blowing out to center at 17 MPH today.
Rooker is one of the best home run hitters in the league and should be at these odds in a great pitching matchup with heavy winds blowing out here.
I have the true odds just above +300 today, making this a good EV bet.
