Frankie Montas is set to make his season debut. This is probably more out of necessity, if anything, for the Mets, as I’m sure they’d love to give him some more time to get right.

In his four starts in Triple-A, he has posted a 13.19 ERA while allowing 26 hits and 8 homers over just 14 1/3 innings. I will be taking a big stand on the Braves offense tonight.

Arizona will be without Corbin Carroll and possibly Eugenio Suarez (hit by a pitch last night), but even so, these odds are tilted too far in the favor of the White Sox. You could take out a few more starters and Arizona would still have a better lineup than Chicago.

Arizona will also have the starting pitching advantage. I’m expecting these odds to close closer to -150 or worse, so this is showing good value.

This is an interesting spot because the Mariners actually do offer some strikeout upside, but I simply don’t believe in Chris Paddack’s ability to generate strikeouts anymore.

In fact, I also think the Mariners could do some real damage to him here. First, Paddack has just a 16.7% strikeout rate on the season, with a weak 23.4% CSW%, but this is also a bad splits matchup for him — the Mariners project to have six lefties in their lineup. Paddack has allowed a ton of power to lefties and has also seen his strikeout rate drop to just 14.5% (with a 21.5% CSW%) against hitters from the left side.

This “Small Contrarian Dogs vs. Winning Team” MLB moneyline system has generated a 30% ROI this season (33-27-0) and an 8% ROI (843-1004-0) over its lifetime.
