By Prop Model

The strikeouts prop for Andrew Abbott looks like a strong wager based on the current data. The line of 4.5 compares favorably based on our MLB simulations. The prop projects to hit 67.49% of the time based on the assumptions, and that represents a 10.04% edge. You can find all prop bet evaluations in ParlayIQ.

Pick: Andrew Abbott Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-135)

[gameheader haspick=”true” picktext=”Griffin Canning Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-155)” league=”mlb” awaylogo=”https://images.actionnetwork.com/blog/2023/08/2023-mlb-logo-washington-nationals.png” awayname=”Washington Nationals” awayslug=”washington-nationals” homelogo=”https://images.actionnetwork.com/blog/2023/08/2023-mlb-logo-new-york-mets.png” homename=”New York Mets” homeslug=”new-york-mets” date=”Tuesday, June 10″ time=”7:10 p.m. ET” network=”MLB.TV” bookname=”FanDuel” bookprimarylogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/122955_FanDuelSportsBook@1x.jpg” bookreviewslug=”fanduel”][/gameheader]

By Kyle Murray

Griffin Canning is coming off his best start of the season, during which he pitched six scoreless innings and struck out seven against the Dodgers.

He now gets this matchup against the Nationals. On paper, this is not a great strikeout matchup, but I do think there is some value, as this number could close at 5.5. This also projects to be a positive splits matchup. Canning has struck out 25% of lefties this season and the Nats project to roll out eight lefties.

Pick: Griffin Canning Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-155)

This system targets divisional underdogs in MLB regular-season games that receive low public support, but show signs of sharp action or value.

These ‘dogs have moneyline support from less than 30% of bettors, yet still experience little or no negative line movement, suggesting that smart money is holding the line. Additionally, these bets occur in division games, where familiarity and tighter matchups often reduce the gap between underdogs and favorites. The bet count is also modestly above average, further hinting at targeted action as opposed to mass public overreaction.

Overall, this system has a losing record — 936-1175 (44%) — but has produced an 8% ROI because of the plus-money plays. This season, however, the system is 8-6 with a 28% ROI.

Pick: Nationals Moneyline (+135)

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Kyle Murray’s Braves vs Brewers Best Bet: Fade Priester”][/subheader]

[gameheader haspick=”true” picktext=”Quinn Priester Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+120)” league=”mlb” awaylogo=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/mlb/100/atl.png” awayname=”Atlanta Braves” awayslug=”atlanta-braves” homelogo=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/mlb/100/mil.png” homename=”Milwaukee Brewers” homeslug=”milwaukee-brewers” date=”Tuesday, June 10″ time=”7:40 p.m. ET” network=”MLB.TV” bookname=”BetMGM” bookprimarylogo=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/779359_BetMGM800x200@1x.png” bookreviewslug=”betmgm”][/gameheader]

By Kyle Murray

The Braves have some high-strikeout potential throughout their lineup, but in general, Quinn Priester just isn’t a high-strikeout guy. He has struck out only 15% of hitters dating back to the start of last season and there is also plenty of power in the Braves lineup that could give him fits.

Pick: Quinn Priester Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+120)

The “Silent Sharp Unders” system targets regular-season MLB games in which both teams are performing well, but the total has quietly dropped from open to close.

These are games featuring competent, winning teams with recent success, stable weather conditions and closing totals in a common scoring range. Despite both teams showing strength, the market subtly favors the under — likely due to matchup specifics or pitching. By following this soft signal — when the public eye is more focused on win streaks and not totals — this system finds value in betting against inflated scoring expectations.

This season, this system is 81-56-2 (59%) and has generated a 12% ROI.

Pick: Under 8.5 (-120)
