Get an inside look at three hitters our advanced MLB projections like to go yard on Tuesday.
MLB Home Run Picks: Dinger Tuesday Best Bets for 4/1
I picked two of the three hitters today because their home run prices are much better than they’ve been in previous games this season.
In fact, our projections are still super high on the two picks (+750 and +1000) and haven’t given up on them just yet. The other is playing in one of the best ballparks for their hitting style.
Let’s start with the earliest pick and work our way through.
Home Run Pick for Tuesday: Josh Naylor
Diamondbacks slugger Josh Naylor is the pick to click playing in a hitter-friendly stadium tonight (Yankee Stadium). The short porch in right field is calling Naylor’s name, and it’s only a matter of time until he gets on the board this season.
Naylor’s top price in the market is +650 (BetMGM); bettors can also boost this at FanDuel’s +600 price. Either way, our fair calculation is 0.19 homers tonight for Naylor, which equates to a fair price closer to +425.
Home Run Pick for Tuesday: Josh Bell
Josh Bell of the Nationals continues to pop up in PRO Projections best bets to homer. He doesn’t have one yet this season, but now may be a great time to buy against the Blue Jays.
Consider that yesterday, he was trading between +600 and +680 in his home run market at FanDuel. Despite pitching changes and other factors, Bell is +750 to homer today.
Stacking up our projections (0.18 homers), Bell’s fair price should be closer to +455.
Home Run Pick for Tuesday: Alec Burleson
Alec Burleson of the Cardinals is the +1000 best bet tonight.
PRO Projections forecast 0.14 for the Cardinals designated hitter, or a fair price close to +615.
Burleson’s been around +830 to hit a homer early in the season, so we’ll take a stab at 10-1.
