I’m picking on the Orioles against a left-handed starter.

Tyler Anderson is no Tarik Skubal, but this matchup suits him. Baltimore ranks dead last in OPS, SLG, ISO and wOBA against left-handed pitching. The lack of power is particularly significant.

The Orioles have a .277 SLG and a .074 ISO vs. LHP. For context, the Pirates are 29th in SLG at .325. The Royals (.86) are the only other team with an ISO below .100. It’s a massive gap.

Anderson gives up a ton of fly balls and limits hard contact. Soft fly balls are typically outs, so he can be effective if the ball stays in the yard.

Baltimore hasn’t shown any power at all against lefties, which gives Anderson a good chance to put up a decent performance. He allowed one earned run over five innings against the Orioles in May. We’d certainly take that here.

The Angels are top 10 in OPS and wOBA against righties over the past 30 days. They draw an exploitable matchup against Tomoyuki Sugano, who has elite control but not much else.

Sugano’s xFIP (4.29) and SIERA (4.49) are more than a run higher than his actual ERA (3.23).

To be fair, Anderson’s ERA estimators are also worse than his ERA, but he gets the much better matchup.

The Angels’ main flaw is contact, as they lead the league in strikeout rate against righties. Fortunately, Sugano ranks in the second percentile in K% and third percentile in whiff rate.

Pick: Angels First Five Innings Moneyline (+125)

The value on Angels right-handed hitters today is massive.

Camden Yards is a slight downgrade for righty power and so is the weather, but the odds are just ridiculous.

Every single one of the power righties has massive pop. Taylor Ward, in particular, ranks 30th in barrel rate and enters Saturday with 18 home runs, which is sixth most in MLB.

I have the true odds on Ward over 150 points lower.

Pick: Taylor Ward Home Run (+600)

By Derek Carty

There may be some value on the strikeout prop of Twins starter Joe Ryan.

THE BAT X is projecting him to record 7.13 strikeouts, and oddsmakers are implying 6.32. The model believes there is a 61% chance he records at least seven strikeouts, so there is value on the over at +120.

Pick: Joe Ryan Over 6.5 Strikeouts (+120)

The Revenge Spot Favorites system in MLB moneyline betting backs strong teams that recently lost to the same opponent by a narrow margin.

These are teams with winning records, solid average margins of victory, and a moderate level of favorability in the market. The setup looks for clubs in a groove — on a defined home or away stretch — deep enough into the season to have established identity and motivation.

When these teams re-enter a matchup after dropping the previous head-to-head by just a few runs, they often carry added focus, especially when still priced as the better team. This system leans into that bounce-back edge where both form and motivation align.

This aligns with the Yankees today after they dropped a tight 2-1 game on Friday to the rival Red Sox.
