After a dominant 11-strikeout start last time out against the Angels, Will Warren now has a 30% K% on the season. It’s backed by an elite 31.1% CSW%.

He struggled in April but has now piled up 64 strikeouts since the beginning of May (nine starts). Warren has a tremendous 32.8% K% in that stretch.

The Orioles have the seventh-highest K% against righties over the past 30 days. The lineup they rolled out on Saturday against Clarke Schmidt had a bloated 24.3% mark vs. RHP for the season. Schmidt tossed seven no-hit innings.

Adley Rutschman is now on the IL, removing one low-strikeout bat from the mix. Rutschman had missed the last few games, but his IL placement guarantees we’ll get a high-strikeout hitter behind the plate.

Baltimore could also be without Jordan Westburg, one of its hottest hitters, after he left on Saturday with a hand injury. No matter how the lineup shakes out, it should be a plus matchup for Warren.

If I like the over in the Rangers–Pirates finale, and I want to find some bats to go along with that bet — Marcus Semien looks to be one of the better places to go.

He had perhaps the worst start to the season of any good player this year, but he has turned it around with a .333 average in June and is trending upwards.

Semien has a hit in 12 of his last 13 games and should have ample opportunity to score and get an RBI (or more) with how good the hitting conditions are today.

I would have this priced at -150, giving us a solid edge.

I would love to see my Cardinals extend their five-game winning streak today, but I just don’t see it.

This is a terrible matchup for them. The Cardinals are starting a low strikeout pitcher in Miles Mikolas on an extremely hot day, and they have no choice but to give him a long leash given their tired bullpen and a huge four-game series upcoming against the first-place Cubs.

The Reds tend to do better against pitch-to-contact arms, and I expect them to score plenty of runs here.

Meanwhile, the Reds have one of their best arms in Andrew Abbott going against a lineup that is missing its top right-handed bat in Ivan Herrera. The Cardinals rely on their lefties, who don’t match up well against Abbott.

The Reds are the only MLB team that hasn’t been swept at all this season, and I think they will stave off another potential sweep with a win today.

This system targets Sunday MLB games where the home team is coming off 1–2 consecutive overs, suggesting recent offensive outperformance or inflated totals. This applies to the Mets–Phillies series, which has featured totals of 12 and 15 in the first two games.

The theory is that on Sundays, teams may rest key hitters, lineups can be inconsistent, and pitchers often perform better against lineups they’ve already seen.

With an opening total in the 8-to-9.5-run range, the line is high enough to offer under value when offensive regression is likely. Betting the under in these specific setups has historically yielded a positive ROI over time.
