Marlins vs Braves Prediction, Betting Analysis
The Marlins entered the season expected to finish near the bottom of the NL, but they have been solid thus far. They’re surprisingly over .500 and have a good chance at a series win with ace Sandy Alcantara on the hill.
Alcantara enters Sunday with a 1-0 record and 3.72 ERA, 2.26 xERA and 0.93 WHIP. He’s coming off five innings of two-run ball against the Mets in his last start.
As for the Braves, they have been the most disappointing team in baseball, losing eight of their first nine games. Luckily for them, we are only two weeks into the season and there is plenty of time to turn things around.
Right-hander Grant Holmes gets the rock for Atlanta today. Holmes is 0-1 with a 7.20 ERA over five innings. He struggled against the Dodgers on Monday, surrendering four runs over four innings with a 3:4 K:BB ratio.
However, I’m still riding with the home favorites in the Braves. They are much better than their early-season record indicates.
