New York will send right-hander Clarke Schmidt to the mound. Schmidt has posted a 3.95 ERA this season and has struggled against this Guardians lineup. Cleveland boasts a .360 batting average against Schmidt in 50 team at-bats.
Luis Ortiz will toe the rubber for the Guardians. Ortiz has been one of the worst pitchers in baseball on the road this season, with a 6.39 ERA over 31 innings. New York is batting .333 against Ortiz in 42 at-bats.
