I don’t get the feeling we’re going to see a lot of runs in this series.
The Mariners can attest as they haven’t managed a run against A’s starting pitching over the past two nights, blanked across twelve innings against the likes of Luis Severino and Jeffrey Springs, and only doing business vs. the Athletics bullpen on Thursday night.
This was symptomatic of Mariners issues at the plate last season, and A’s manager Mark Kotsay will feel more confident about his relievers after last night, with Osvaldo Bido likely good for only five innings tonight.
Meanwhile, Mariners manager Dan Wilson feels good about sending out Bryce Miller, who posted a 1.96 ERA across 16 starts at T-Mobile Park last season.
