Seven soon-to-launch North Carolina sports betting apps have rolled out pre-registration offers on Friday, giving users who sign up early something extra for their business.
Then when NC sports betting goes live on March 11, you’ll be able to use your bonus bets from the pre-registration offers, and you can still claim the launch offer at most of these operators.
Below we’ve explained why you should sign up early at most sportsbooks, and detailed seven of the eight sportsbook offers available on Friday (Underdog Sports has not released a pre-reg offer yet).

Should I Sign Up Early in NC?
Based on what we know about these offers, yes. The offers are mostly “additive” — which means you’ll get something extra if you sign up early, plus you’ll get the normal launch offer on March 11.
Here are the typical types of pre-reg offers:
- Additive: You get something extra for signing up early, plus you’ll still get the launch offer on March 11 when sports betting officially goes live.
- Either/or: You’ll either get a pre-launch offer, or the go-live offer.
- Same: The offer is pretty much the same whether you sign up early or sign up after launch.
I will say that sportsbooks also run deposit matches in the background, in addition to these “bet/get” offers, though they have pretty restrictive rollover requirements. DraftKings has both a bonus-bet offer and a deposit match; ESPN BET does too with its Eligible Cashback offer. So don’t make your first deposit until betting actually goes live, so you can maximize the deposit matches if they do get added later in the process.

What if I Signed Up in Another State?
You won’t be eligible for these offers if you’ve already signed up at DraftKings Sportsbook in Tennessee, for example. If you’ve only played DFS in the past, you’re still eligible.
If you have an account, you’ll just have to login, and you can’t create a new account to claim the promo, since sportsbooks tie your account to your identity.

Caesars has not announced its go-live offer, but for pre-registration, it’s offering seven, 100% profit boosts. You can’t use them until betting goes live.
That means with those bets, you will double your payout — if you bet $20 on the 76ers as a +150 underdog to the Bucks, your payout would be $60 instead of $30, effectively making it +300 instead of +150.
