- If the Giants win, you’ll profit $40, keep the original $20, and get $150 in free bets as long as there’s 150 yards (there will be). You’ll now have $210 in your account after a deposit of just $20.

Step 2: Time to use the free bets
The optimal way to use promo bets is on plus-money wagers. Even though more of those bets will lose, you’ll be getting more expected value over time.
Think about it like this:
If you have a $100 free bet that you use on a +900 underdog, you will win your bet 10% of the time. This means the EV of the free bet is $900 x 10% = $90 EV.
If you instead were to bet on a -900 favorite you would win $11.11, 90% of the time. That’s just $10 EV.
So underdogs it is.
Here’s an example of how I’d use my bonus cash this weekend. Again, plus-money.
I’ll use $50 worth of bonus cash on three NFL plays in the late window on Sunday, because you’ll need to bet a 1 p.m. ET game to get the $150 in bonus cash.
