McIlroy is +1400 to win the 2025 U.S. Open at BetMGM.

The Northern Irishman and face of the PGA Tour completed the career grand slam two months ago at the 2025 Masters in Augusta, Ga., an emotional victory and giant weight off the shoulders of one of the game’s greatest players.

McIlroy has struggled since that milestone victory, including missing the cut by 12 shots at last weekend’s RBC Canadian Open.

There are other ways to bet McIlroy other than in the outright market, of course. If you want to bet on McIlroy to finish in the top 5, those odds are +220 at BetMGM. While McIlroy has three wins this season, he has finished in the top 5 four times, adding a T5 at the Houston Open to the four victories.

McIlroy is +125 to finish in the top 10 at the U.S. Open, something he has done five times in his 10 events played in the 2025 season. McIlroy’s most recent top-10 finish was a T7 at the Truist Championship in early May.

Going further down the leaderboard, McIlroy is -190 to finish in the top 20 and -400 to finish in the top 40. In his 10 events this season, McIlroy has finished in the top 20 and top 40 seven times in total.

McIlroy is -370 to make the cut at the U.S. Open. He missed the cut in his most recent tournament last weekend at the RBC Canadian Open, and that stands as his only missed cut of the season. Prior to last week, the last tournament in which McIlroy missed the cut was at the 2024 Open Championship in late July 2024.

If you think McIlroy’s struggles last weekend are a precursor to what he’s in store for this week, he’s +250 to miss the cut.
