Patriots vs. Vikings NFL Preseason Preview
The Patriots won their first preseason game against the Commanders by a score of 48-18.
While Minnesota held off the Houston Texans 20-10 to improve to 1-0 in the preseason.
J.J. McCarthy threw for 30 yards in the winning effort.
We will not see McCarthy today, and if Maye does play, his action will be limited.
Sam Howell is expected to start for the Vikings, while the Patriots will hand the keys to Ben Wooldridge and Joshua Dobbs for most of the game.
New England’s defensive unit was great in week one of the preseason, and I expect Mike Vrabel’s defense to show up and compete tonight.
On the other side, the Vikings’ defense was strong in week one, limiting Houston to 10 points.
The pace of this contest should favor the under, as both offensive coordinators will likely keep the play calls vanilla.
